6 helpful tips for using CBD oil
Everyone’s endocannabinoid system is unique which means there are no hard and fast rules about which strength of CBD Oil will be right for you, or how much to take on a regular basis.
When taking for the first time, we recommend starting slowly with small amounts and building your dosage up until you feel you have hit upon the right level. We’re all different so what might be right for a friend may not be right for you.
Here are some tips for first-time users to help you find the perfect daily dosage.
Find the right strength blend
Our CBD Oil blends come in 3 strengths – 5%, 10% and 15%. The higher concentration of CBD in the 15% and 10% blends means they are more suitable for experienced users, so we’d always suggest starting with the 5% blend if you’re just beginning to explore what’s right for you.
Start small
For the first couple of days take just one drop under the tongue along with food. Hold the oil for a minute or so, then swallow. CBD Oil does have a bit of an earthy taste which takes a bit of getting used to, but then most things that are good for us don’t taste great!
Build it up
After 2 or 3 days, decide whether or not you feel like you want to increase the dosage. Again, do this gradually. We’d suggest initially increasing to a single drop, twice a day for a couple of days, before then moving onto taking a single drop 3 times a day.
After a couple of weeks, you may want to increase the number of drops taken each time from 1 to 2.
Find your routine
By building yourself up like this you’ll be able to monitor the effects more closely and find your sweet spot in terms of how much and how many times per day.
Find your strength
As your body becomes more in tune with the CBD, you may also decide to increase the strength of the oil blend used. When doing this we’d again suggest starting slowly with smaller doses and working your way up gradually.
Although CBD is non-toxic, we’d always recommend taking things steadily, especially when you're new to it.
